Wealth Management - You Can Do it!

Wealth Management - One of the main challenges faced by most people of average financial means. But it can be done in simple ways.

Wealth creation is all about knowledge and personal financial planning. It is a learned skill and a life-long practice. While wealth creation is a process, it is also very much an art. It is also rarely an overnight success, meaning that patience and discipline and good old- fashioned prudence all play a very important part.

It is a continuum that will require focus, energy and patience. Remember, for most of us, wealth building is a marathon, not a sprint. True wealth creation is about an investment of time as well as money.

You ask. What about my job? Can't I build wealth from my job? Your job is your job; financial independence and wealth creation is something else. For most people, just depending on a job is like a tree with only one branch. The only branch is like the income from your job. If that branch breaks i.e. when that job disappears (due to various reasons), the only income source disappears. This is highly hazardous to your financial independence and well-being. Wealth creation is about YOUR life, YOUR family, and YOUR future.

In a nutshell, at its very essence (to build wealth), it is really the art of increasing your assets while at the same time reducing your liabilities. A basic tenet of wealth building is "Spend less, save more, and invest wisely.

The first step towards wealth creation and proper wealth managementis to develop a plan. One of the cornerstones to build wealth is entrepreneurship. You need multiple sources of income. It is probably one of the most prudent ways to be financially free. The purpose of wealth creation is not the acquisition of wealth itself but the power and peace of mind it can bring you. With multiple sources of income, you will be able to acquire the power and peace of mind so important to all areas of your well-being such as financial, social, spiritual, physical etc. And as with many people, you will be more likely to look forward to a comfortable retirement. In short - financial independence.

Wealth management is also very much a mental game, as much as it is part of your personal financial planning. Your internal thoughts and beliefs are directly reflected in your life. This means how your feeling of self worth and your attitude towards wealth will be reflected in the way you conduct your everyday transactions. Silly as it may sound, all of us have an "internal thermostat" that subconsciously adjusts our level of financial wealth to the level of our self worth. Thus the secret to peak performance wealth creation is total mastery of our belief system. Achieving financial independence is quite simple, but you have to see it before you can get it.

Wealth creation and proper wealth management is a continuum that will require focus, energy and patience. As mentioned earlier, one of the major keys to wealth creation and achieving financial independence is to have multiple streams of income.
